Graysville Serves Up Pickleball (CBS 42 Birmingham)
Dozens of Graysville residents are picking up pickleball. The game is part tennis, part badminton, and possibly part ping-pong. It uses paddles and a modified whiffle ball. Wilson [K] Tour Team FX K Factor Tennis Racquet

    Saturday, May 30th, 2009

Wilson [K] Tour Team FX K Factor Tennis Racquet The Wilson K Tour Team FX is the 102 square inch update to the Wilson K Tour and offers a new option for those players who preferred the larger headsize and forgiveness of the previous generation N Tour Two 105 and N Tour 105. The K Tour Team FX carries on the tradition of the previous-generation Wilson nTours, providing traditional feel with a slightly head-heavy “Hammer” balance. Now with the addition of Wilson K Factor FX Quad Shaft technology which hollows out the shaft of the frame, the K Tour Team FX is more stable and lighter than the K Tour.

A little more power and maneuverability can be found in the K Tour Team FX than in more traditional players frames such as the KSixOne and the K Blade. Wilson has kept most specifications consistent with past nTour 105 models: 27.25 inch length, 10.3 ounce strung weight, nearly even balance, 16×19 string pattern, 23.5mm straight beam, and 102 square inch headsize.

All [K] Factor racquets utilize Wilson’s proprietary next-generation [K]arophite Black structure which adds additional bonds between the SiO2 and graphite molecules on a nanoscopic scale, resulting in more feel and a stronger, more stable racquet. Overall, there are 4 new key [K] Factor technology concepts found in various configurations depending on the [K] Factor model:

      Racquet Specifications:
    • Headsize:102 sq. in.
    • Length:27.25 in.
    • Weight (strung):10.30 oz.
    • Stiffness (Babolat RDC):63
    • Balance:13.50 in. Head Light
    • Cross Section:23.5mm Straight Beam
    • Swingweight:312 kg*sq. cm
    • String Pattern:16×19
    • Grip:Wilson K Grip
    • Wilson Stiffness Index:5

Wilson Nano Hope Tennis Racquet - 4-1/2″

The successor to Wilson’s highly successful Hyper Pro Staff Surge 5.1 and NPro Surge, the Wilson nPro Open still uses the nPro Cross Section to strengthen and improve upon an already proven design. nPro racquets feature “X-loop” geometry, a combination of flat and rounded beam shapes to increase stability compared to a classic beam. Slightly stiffer beam adds a bit of power compared with its predecessors. Straight beam geometry along the string bed allows for greater control than typical racquet
