Prince O3 Hybrid Hornet MP Tennis Racquet (STWC)

Tuesday, March 31st, 2009

Prince O3 Hybrid Hornet MP Tennis Racquet (STWC) New for 2006, the The Prince O3 Hybrid Hornet Mid Plus makes use of O-Ports at 12:00 and 6:00 only. This still generates a lively response, but with more control than Prince’s original O3 racquets (which featured O-Ports at 12:00, 3:00, 6:00, and 9:00.)

With a 100 square inch head size and a Prince Power Level of 925, the O3 Hybrid Hornet Mid Plus is a more-controlled option to the O3 Red, O3 Blue and O3 Silver. Slightly more powerful than the Prince O3 Tour. Nicely damped feel, with a generous sweetspot and very maneuverable at the net as well. Overall, the O3 Hybrid Hornet should prove to be one of the best all-around tweener racquets for an intermediate to advanced player with a moderate to fast swing speed.

Head Crossbow 8 Tennis Racquet

Tuesday, March 31st, 2009

Head Crossbow 8 Tennis Racquet The Crossbow 8 is the 2nd most powerful racquet offered in the Head Crossbow line (behind the Crossbow 10), with a very forgiving sweetspot and significantly lighter weight. Great for a beginner to intermediate player that is looking for a racquet with a large sweetspot and plenty of power. Extremely maneuverable for ease of groundstrokes and deep put-aways at net. Serves and overheads offer the same pop with the CrossBow 8. Best suited for players with shorter, compact strokes looking for power. Recommended for the 1.5-2.5 NTRP level players. Crossbow: POWER LOADED! Head introduces the world’s first dynamic bridge racquet construction. The bridge is suspended from the frame and moves independently which allows the racquet to store energy in both the stringbed and the bridge. The CrossBow concept acts like a spring or a bow that is loaded during ball impact. This new found energy is unleashed in every shot providing incredible power. CrossBow enlarges the sweetspot because it has 10 main strings going through the dynamic bridge. It has a bigger sweetspot than a conventional fixed bridge racquet. Playing consistant powerful tennis has never been easier. Stabilizer: The new re-designed HEAD Stabilizer is incorporated into the racquet shaft area for a more sleek, aerodynamic design. During ball inpact, the stabilizer continuously swings in an opposite direction to the flex of the frame which counteracts the frames oscillation and is extremely effective in stabilizing the racquet for a very solid feel.

Head Metallix 6 Tennis Racquet

Monday, March 30th, 2009

Head Metallix 6 Tennis Racquet Offering an unbeatable combination of power, maneuverability, and control, the Head Metallix 6 tennis racquet is a great fit for both beginning and experienced players. The racquet is made of a specially designed blend of carbon fibers and a crystalline metal alloy that’s 1,000 times smaller than that of a typical metal. The combination of advanced construction materials and decreased grain size makes the racquet lighter, stronger, and more muscular than ever before, thereby taking your game to whole new heights. Head also lowered the bridge section into a re-imagined throat design called LMS (Longer Main String), which creates a larger hitting surface without making the racquet any bigger. The player thus benefits from a larger sweet spot and better maneuverability. The Head stabilizer, meanwhile, virtually eliminates racquet vibration and ensures the ultimate in comfort on every shot. The end result is a lightweight, balanced design that will improve your game by leaps and bounds.

Specifications:

  • Head size: 115 square inches
  • Balance: 1/3 HH (355mm)
  • Grip size: 1-5
  • String pattern: 16/19
  • Swing style: S6
  • Length: 27.33 inches
  • Weight: 8.8 ounces
